Over 80 emerging leaders got a glimpse of tomorrow on Tuesday (March 25th) at the Construction Forum Emerging Leaders Group networking event at Wies Offsite.

In addition to brats, hotdogs, nachos, and liquid refreshments in a nod to Cardinals Opening Day March 27th, they heard and saw the inside skinny from Dan Wies about his big bet on technology. Tom Bahr, principal of BSA LifeStructures won the raffle for the four Cardinal tickets donated by Kienstra Co.

Wies Offsite uses computer modeling and AI, working with designers all over the world to model steel stud packages in mind-bending configurations. Then the computer-driven machines in their 100K-sq.-ft. facility produce said studs with punches, divots, etc. with precision measured in thousandths of an inch.

“The Emerging Leaders continue to gain momentum,” Diana Wilhold, deputy executive director/COO of Construction Forum said. “The energy around these events and the enthusiasm and passion for the future of our industry and region of those in attendance are contagious.”

The Emerging Leaders events are open to anyone in the St. Louis Region’s built environment who wants to attend. Construction Forum’s Emerging Leaders Group was formed in 2015 to provide networking opportunities and a voice for those whose careers are on the rise.
