Meet Crystal Allen Dallas

Crystal Allen Dallas, founder and chief engagement officer of Excel Business Concepts, is a believer in intentionality and purpose. This applies both to her business approach and to the work she does for her clients.

Graduating from Dillard University, an HBCU in New Orleans (She would later go on to complete coursework toward a Master’s degree from the University of New Orleans in Urban Planning and received a Master’s in Human Service Administration from LSU Shreveport, as well as a credential in public relations, advertising and communications from Tulane.) her first position out of school was with Pinnacle Entertainment, the casino operator, where she was a corporate project manager.

From Pinnacle she pivoted to stints as the founding director of a volunteer center for United Way and VP of Development for the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.

In 2014 Allen Dallas decided to focus her educational and professional experience on working with clients where she could make a difference in the St. Louis Region. In addition to her paid client work, she works extensively with non-profits and expects the same of her team.

Her client list includes MSD, Lambert St. Louis International Airport, Millstone Weber, Missouri Historical Society, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She is particularly proud of the I-270 North project. Launched in the face of the COVID pandemic. Excel orchestrated a targeted social media and social media effort for this project, which has received national attention for its impact. She is currently working on a school STEM outreach program for the I-70 Rocheport project.

Excel’s services include strategic counsel, social media management, brand development, market research, community engagement, creative services and web design, and crisis management and training.

Her background in public policy, planning, and communication have encouraged her to use her gifts to help other non-traditional companies and individuals to grow.

She also strongly believes that those efforts need to be balanced with her personal role as a wife and mother.

Allen Dallas said, “I believe we should all aspire to leave this world better than we found it. I am privileged to live my purpose out loud everyday through my work and community involvements. The built environment is truly ours to create, lets ensure we are being intentional about the spaces and places that we design.”
