Meet Charles Jenkins
Charles Jenkins, CEO of Jenkins and Sons Lawn Care, has taken his people-centric focus and built it into a successful business over the past eight years.
After graduating from Tennessee State University (including a year spent studying in Denmark) with a degree in psychology, he spent time working in human services (youth and workforce development) and the financial sector (banking and investment services).
He began his financial services career in Denver in a leadership position at a national bank. He was transferred to St. Louis, where he was on a path to become a branch manager. Once in St. Louis, the corporate atmosphere changed. Due to consistent discriminatory behavior by a manager, he found he no longer enjoyed his job and wanted to find peace of mind.
Jenkins decided to pivot and start a business where his work ethic and desire to serve people and deliver results could build a future. He purchased a single commercial mower and began to grow his business from there.
