Wednesday was a good day for a barbecue (and product showcase). Skies were blue and it was 82º F during the afternoon.

A Spring breeze kept the parking lot at Queeny Park from reaching the blistering temps of previous years as American Subcontractors Association Midwest Council hosted their annual BBQ and Showcase.

Fifty-one exhibitors showed off their rib cooking prowess and displayed heavy iron, a number on a par with previous years, Suzanne Winkelmann, executive director of ASA Midwest Council, said.
