From MetroWire Media:  Olive Crossing, a 14.8-acre mixed-use development located at the intersection of Olive Blvd. and I-170 in Olivette, Mo., is fully zoned and under preparation for construction to begin later this year.

Centrally located between Clayton, Mo., and the St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the KDG and KEAT Properties development includes 300,000 SF of office space; 50,000 SF of retail, dining and services; and a 106,000 SF hotel.

“Olive Crossing is a game-changing development for this community. It’s the largest in Olivette’s history and the city has been very supportive and collaborative,” said Greg Yawitz, CEO and founder of KEAT Properties.

The development has evolved from the original scope and scale in schematic design from a year ago. The current architecture incorporates a refinement of design and materials, including higher bay warehouse windows, vertical metal longboard elements, oversized courtyards and outdoor dining patios. There will also be public spaces with greenery and artwork showcased throughout.

“We planned a dynamic property that will be as authentic as it is convenient; a blend between suburban and urban in its lifestyle offerings,” said Jason Braidwood, president of KDG.

The centrally located, mixed-use center is anchored by a dual-brand Marriott flagship hotel – the first of its kind – combining a Courtyard by Marriott and an Element by Westin into one hotel.

Located in the southern section of the development, the five-story hotel complex features 160 rooms (80 rooms each), both branded with their own entrance, lobby and outdoor patio. Shared space includes a 1,200 SF fitness facility, meeting space, indoor pool and multiple food options.
