Posted In: Organizations, What we are thinking about,

The Masonry Institute of St. Louis (MISL) will host a continuing education seminar Wednesday, Nov. 11, exploring how Building Information Modeling (BIM) is changing the way masonry projects are designed, estimated and constructed.

The program, “BIM Solutions for Masonry Design,” will be presented by Tom Cuneio of CAD BLOX.

The presentation will provide a practical overview of BIM technology, with particular attention to its capabilities and limitations for masonry applications. Cuneio will discuss how masonry objects and assemblies can be incorporated into digital building models and demonstrate real-world applications.

Examples will illustrate how BIM is influencing masonry design, material ordering, shipping, installation, maintenance and bidding.

The seminar is open to all industry professionals and offers continuing education credits for architects, contractors and other construction professionals.
