In its 10 years of operation, Tacos 4 Life has successfully delivered on a dual mission: delicious craft tacos and striving to end childhood hunger. The world-changing concept caught the interest of St. Louis-based hotel development firm Midas Hospitality, which is introducing the first Tacos 4 Life to the city of St. Louis at the Element Hotel at 3763 Forest Park Ave. in Midtown. The Midtown Tacos 4 Life is the third franchise to open in the region, with other locations in Ballwin and O’Fallon, Mo.
The grand opening for the Midtown Tacos 4 Life is February 11, 2025.
Linda Eigelberger, principal and chief commercial officer of Midas Hospitality said the firm had been looking for the ideal tenant for the last retail space in the 153-room extended stay hotel which the firm developed and opened in 2020.
“Given its altruistic mission to end childhood hunger and its excellent food, we believe the location at the Element Hotel will be highly successful,” noted Eigelberger. “It is easily accessible to students at nearby Saint Louis University, Harris-Stowe State University and Washington University and the vibrant business community in the Cortex District.” A few blocks to the east is the former Wells Fargo Advisors campus, which Midas Hospitality is transforming through a $125 million redevelopment plan that will include a Kimpton Hotel.
Tacos 4 Life is renowned for its commitment to ending world hunger one meal at a time through its Meal 4 Meal program. For every meal purchased, the restaurant donates a meal to a child in need. The company kicked off the celebration of its 10th anniversary year in June 2024 by launching the 10 MEAL-ion Challenge. A community-focused initiative, the 10 MEAL-ion Challenge invites guests and the public to join the brand on its mission to raise and pack a lofty 10 million meals by the end of the anniversary year.

“We are delighted that Midas Hospitality has joined our family of franchise owners and has found a highly-strategic location to advance our difference-making mission,” noted Austin Samuelson, co-founder of Tacos 4 Life.
Tacos 4 Life, founded in Conway, Arkansas, in 2014, is a fast-casual taco restaurant with 29 locations across the southeastern United States. The company’s founders, Austin and Ashton Samuelson, were inspired to create the restaurant brand to combat world hunger. For every taco, salad, quesadilla, rice bowl or nachos the restaurant sells, a meal is donated to the nonprofit Feed My Starving Children. L
