From West Newsmagazine:  The fate of the Latitude N38 project in Wildwood Town Center is still to be decided.

TB Realty and Benton Homes have proposed a plan for 57 attached and detached single-family dwellings in building clusters at the southeast corner of Eatherton Road and Crestview Drive. These would be rental units run by a homeowner’s association.

The plan was denied by the Planning & Zoning Commission (P&Z) in December.

At its meeting Jan. 8, the Wildwood City Council accepted an appeal by the petitioner regarding P&Z’s recommendation of denial of the request for a change in zoning from the Non-Urban Residence District to the R-6A 4,000-square-foot Residence District with a Planned Residential Development Overlay District on a 6.9-acre tract of land.

In conjunction with these requests, the applicant also sought a change in zoning for approximately 12,500 square feet at 16928 Crestview Drive as an out-lot.

The proposed design has single-family dwellings on individual lots fronting onto Eatherton Road to mirror those in the Main Street Crossing Subdivision.

A public hearing for the appeal before the council began in May and was continued to the June 10 meeting.

Brad Goss, attorney representing Latitude N38, said that the project was first presented to the city in 2018 and was tabled to allow for the Town Center update. Then, a new plan was submitted that was in alignment with the update team’s recommendations.
