Kadean Construction has realigned its executive leadership team and consolidated its operations into Industrial, Healthcare, and Commercial Business Units to strengthen the company’s long-term strategy for delivering complex projects with clarity, consistency, and early client engagement across the country.

Aaron Retherford has been promoted to President of Kadean Construction, assuming select responsibilities previously held by Mike Eveler (CEO). In this role, Retherford will oversee enterprise strategy and organizational alignment while leading the Industrial Business Unit and advancing Kadean’s Business Unit model to drive focus, accountability, and scalable growth. He joined Kadean in 2020 as Vice President of Business Strategy.

Kadean has aligned its extensive nationwide Healthcare Business Unit operations under the leadership of Travis Mulder, Vice President. Mulder will also oversee the firm’s strong, locally driven Commercial Business Unit work in St. Louis and Kansas City.

“Our industry-aligned structure builds on what Kadean already does best,” said Mike Eveler, Chief Executive Officer. “It allows us to engage earlier, listen more closely to our clients’ goals, and bring the right expertise to the table from day one. This approach supports our client-centric mindset by positioning Kadean as a trusted resource and long-term partner, not just a builder. This structure is supported by our teams in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Philadelphia.”

“Every business aspires to be its clients’ first call,” said Retherford. “At Kadean, that responsibility is earned through clarity, alignment, and consistent execution. Our Business Unit model is designed to provide clarity for our clients and alignment across our teams. By organizing around the markets we serve, we can better connect strategy, preconstruction, and project delivery, giving clients a more predictable and transparent path from concept through completion.”

To better support the new business structure, Jim Driscoll has been appointed Vice President of Industrial Strategy, a role aligned with Kadean’s Industrial Business Unit and focused on guiding industrial clients through early decision-making, facility evaluation, and long-term planning. In this role, Driscoll will leverage his extensive preconstruction and industrial experience to help bring clarity and alignment to complex decisions before commitments are made.
