As the new school year approaches, Impact Together STL is calling on the St. Louis community to help ensure every child starts the year equipped for success.
The grassroots nonprofit is collecting backpacks, school supplies, hygiene products and financial donations for its Back-to-School Donation Giveaway on Friday, Aug. 14, at the St. Louis City Hall Rotunda. The event will provide free school supplies, hot meals and community resources to more than 200 students and families. Organizers are also seeking 40 to 50 volunteers to assist with setup, registration, supply distribution, food service and children’s activities.
How to Help: Donate new backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, folders, glue sticks, hygiene products and other school supplies by Aug. 7 at either the St. Louis City Treasurer’s Office (Room 220, City Hall, 1200 Market St.) or Dielmann Sotheby’s International Realty (8301 Maryland Ave., Suite 100, Clayton).
You can also make a financial contribution through Impact Together STL’s Givelify donation platform. Businesses interested in hosting a collection bin or making larger donations may contact impacttogetherstl@gmail.com for more information.
