From St. Louis Business Journal: The owner of Bullock Building and Development was sentenced Friday to 12 months in prison for fraud.
Morgan Bullock, 33, of Camdenton, will also have to pay restitution of $136,458.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Bullock never got approval from Kirkwood to build eight homes at 425 Emmerson Ave., but still took deposits from six families.
“Despite promising that he would only use their lot deposits in the construction of their new homes, Bullock instead used the victim homebuyers’ funds for his own personal use and to pay off contractors working on a separate unrelated construction project in the Camdenton, Missouri area,” the feds said.
