This week Louis Kelly, Construction Forum drone photographer/videographer captures progress on the Health Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing buildings under construction at St. Louis Community College’s Flo-Valley Campus.

First shown is the Advanced Manufacturing project. Kadean Construction is partnering with NAVIGATE Building Solutions, and JEMA, design architects on the  Advanced Manufacturing Center project. Construction is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

The 96,000-square-foot facility will feature modern educational environments and hands-on training for students pursuing careers in manufacturing, technology, or the technical trades. Areas of study will include computer-integrated manufacturing, engineering technology, robotics, business, information systems, composite fabrication, sheet metal assembly, welding, HVACR, and industrial maintenance.

The drone then takes in views of steel for the four-story, 100,000-square-foot Center for Nursing and Health Sciences building, to the north of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing. The $61.97  building is part of St. Louis Community College’s nearly $500 million facilities update at its four campuses. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2024.

PARIC Corp. is serving as the general contractor for the project. KAI is the architect for the project, which will expand capacity for STLCC’s nursing, dental hygiene and radiology technology programs, college officials said. The project also includes state-of-the-art equipment and simulator labs to train students for careers in emergency medical and paramedic technology.
