Father McGivney Plans Major Expansion to Glen Carbon Campus

From The Edwardsville Intelligencer: The Father McGivney campus at 7190 Bouse Road is looking to expand in Glen Carbon.
At the Jan. 28 Building and Development committee meeting, Justin Venvertloh, of Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen, Inc., laid out three projects that Father McGivney is looking into for a campus that first opened in August 2015.
The first project includes the expansion for a commons area, while the second project is for the installation of bleachers and a press box for the baseball field and the third project is a fieldhouse on the southern side of the campus.
“The first two projects are happening most likely right away. The third project is still in the planning stage, but we were wanting to get some feedback,” Venvertloh said.
Father McGivney is hoping to have a site plan ready for the first project by the end of February and for construction to then begin in early spring. Pfund Construction would be the contractor.

The first of the three projects is for an approximately 9,500-square-foot expansion known as the commons space that will serve multiple purposes, including for band and theatre performances and a cafeteria. The current enrollment is 329, compared to 125 when it first opened the high school.
