From St. Louis Business Journal: The developers behind a 30-story, $145 million apartment tower in the Central West End say construction on the project, first unveiled in 2022, will begin this summer.
The residential tower, proposed at a vacant parking lot across from Forest Park at 4974 Lindell Blvd, is a project of St. Louis-based Koplar Properties and Chicago-based apartment development firm Albion Residential.
“In the coming months we look forward to working with neighbors and the historic district for pre-approvals so that we can break ground this summer,” said Andrew Yule, vice president of development at Albion Residential, in a statement.
The tower, called Albion West End, will be mostly glass and include 305 apartments, a 10,000-square-foot lobby, 1,500 square feet of retail space, coworking spaces and 308 parking spaces. It will have an outdoor pool and the tower’s rooftop is to include an amenity deck with a sports lounge and stargazing room. The land where the tower is proposed is owned by Koplar Properties. Yule said the project’s unit count has risen from 293 apartments when the project was first unveiled.
