Construction Forum St. Louis has launched an online journal focused on issues in St. Louis construction, ConstructForSTL.
The first issue, which was introduced at last week’s quarterly networking event addresses this year’s Forum event theme, “What Will We Build Tomorrow?”
Articles in the first issue include:
- a column by Forum President Joe Blanner on the importance of incremental change in the industry;
- an interview with Delmar Loop visionary Joe Edwards;
- analysis of the need for and progress in regionalism by Terry Jones, UMSL professor and author;
- a plea for addressing educational disparities by educational consultant Art McCoy;
- the Urban Land Institute’s summary of its year-long study on building a health St. Louis; and
- a piece by Missouri Partnership on attracting new development to St. Louis.
The journal, edited by Forum executive director Tom Finan and art directed by Wayne Kissel of K1 Creative, resides on the Forum’s website, which receives approximately 14,500 page views monthly. 2,000 printed copies of ConstructForSTL are also being distributed.
