From St. Louis Business Journal:  The city of St. Louis’ LCRA Holdings Corp. is seeking bids and proposals for work on the site of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s planned new $1.7 billion western headquarters.

LCRA Holdings has posted a request for bids for chain link fencing at the site with sealed bids due at noon Jan. 6. It’s also issued separate requests for proposals for security services and environmental abatement at the site. The security proposals are due at noon Jan. 6, and two separate proposals for asbestos abatement and removal of household waste due at 3 p.m. Jan. 4 and at noon Jan. 17.

Details on these and other NGA bid opportunities are posted on the St. Louis Development Corp. website. The SLDC and the St. Louis Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority are overseeing the work.

The NGA announced in June it had chosen a site in north St. Louis over other options, including a Metro East site. The city of St. Louis is overseeing abatement and preparation of the site, with work expected to last until fall 2017.
