I like to read but my favorite activity is spending time with my wife and four children.

What do you do in your profession?

I run the company along with my two brothers. I’m involved in estimating, project management, banking, insurance, accounting, HR, and everything else.

What are your dream career and dream tasks to work on?

This job. I love my job and it’s the only job I’ve ever had. It gives me satisfaction knowing that our company provides a good living for everyone who works here and their families.

Advice for someone who wants to do the same job or career as you.

Do as well as you can while in school. Always do your best work for your company. There are occasional bumps in the road but it’s worth the effort.

Any other comments or information that you would like to include.

I started working at Drilling Service Co. when I was a kid. I used to sweep floors, cut grass, and empty trash cans. Now I’m one of the owners of the company. I didn’t get my undergraduate degree until I was 45 years old and my master’s degree when I was 47. I took an unconventional path but it worked for my situation. It’s never too late to start working on your goals.
