What do you do in your profession?

As a low voltage planning engineer, I analyze how best to serve new customers based on their power requirements, assist in creating software models for conversion projects, and evaluate solar installation on residential and commercial buildings.

What are your dream career and dream tasks to work on?

I currently enjoy what I do in my profession! It’s very exciting that I am a part of the renewable energy group that is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. My dream is to progress into a leadership role in the renewable energy sector.

Advice for someone who wants to do the same job or career as you.

Engineering offers a diverse field of disciplines to go into. My advice is to gain as much experience as you can through internships. Through internships, you will find likes and dislikes in your field which will help you decide on an emphasis area to go into.

If you were to go back and give advice to yourself at age 16, what would it be?

Live in the moment. There is no need to rush to get to a destination, instead enjoy every moment of the destination.
