What do you do in your profession?

I develop and administer all training programs. I also manage our rental properties and help plan construction activities around the community.

What are your dream career and dream tasks to work on?

Developing a Montessori-based training program for adult learners in technical careers. Also training instructors on a new method of instruction.

Advice for someone who wants to do the same job or career as you.

Always seek learning opportunities. Everything you do can be an experiment if you approach it with a critical mind. Be more curious than cautious. And most importantly, surround yourself with positive people, with a solution-focused mindset, who will champion your efforts.

If you were to go back and give advice to yourself at age 16, what would it be?

“I do not know where I am going, but I know how I will get there”.

I sailed as a Merchant Mariner out of college, became a military spouse and lived in Germany, then transitioned careers into education and obtained a M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership. I never would have imagined this was my future, and yet I feel like I am exactly where I am meant to be.
