Companies and organizations across the St. Louis construction industry have an opportunity to put their support behind the next generation of the workforce as Build My Future Gateway returns October 7 at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

Build My Future Construction Career Day and Industry Showcase gives students an opportunity to spend a day immersed in the construction industry through an interactive, hands-on experience. Exhibits have included activities such as heavy equipment, welding, virtual reality, and carpet and tile installation.

The event will be held Wednesday, October 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at UMSL, 1 University Blvd. The sponsorship deadline is September 8.

For contractors, subcontractors, design firms, suppliers, labor organizations and others across the built environment, sponsorship offers more than visibility. It provides an opportunity to help students see, touch and experience careers that many may never previously have considered.

Help Students See a Future in Construction

Workforce development begins long before someone fills out a job application. It begins when a young person can see a career, talk with the people doing the work and imagine themselves doing it.

Build My Future creates that opportunity—and the construction industry makes the experience possible.

The sponsor deadline is September 8. For sponsorship and exhibitor information, contact Charlyce Ruth at 417-425-3390 or cruth@agcmo.org.
