Andrew Quirin, Q-Net Cyber-Systems Engineer, Wins IEEE STL Section Young Engineer Honors

Andrew Quirin, a systems engineer with Q-Net Security, Inc. has been selected as the St. Louis Outstanding Young Engineer of the Year by the St. Louis section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
This award recognizes a young professional who has distinguished him/herself through outstanding technical contributions and leadership.
Quirin was nominated by Jerry Cox, Q-Net president and founder, and Ron Indeck, Q-Net CEO. Q-Net Security (QNS) is based in Richmond Heights.
Cox and Indeck said that Quirin has been an exceptional employee of QNS, a cyber-security firm, since January 2016. He initially worked part time while a graduate student at Southern Illinois University—Edwardsville. In 2018, he was promoted to system architect of the company’s most important product line, the QNS Input-Output unit (QIO).
“Andrew has exceeded expectations on his technical skills and has also become a perfect ambassador for the company in all interactions with customers,” said Cox.
Quirin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville.
The award ceremony will be held Nov. 9 at the IEEE Annual Award Dinner at the Engineers’ Club, at 4359 Lindell Blvd.
