From St. Louis/Southern Illinois Labor Tribune: Registration is now open for the 14th annual Tradeswomen Build Nations conference scheduled for Sept. 27-29 in New Orleans.
The convention, sponsored in part by the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU), is the largest yearly event of its kind for women of all ages and skill levels who work or aspire to work in the unionized construction trades. It attracts about 3,000 women from the building trades each year, including several from the St. Louis area.
The lively conference provides opportunities for networking, learning, and leadership development for all attendees, whether they are a pre-apprentice or a seasoned journeyperson. The event speaks to every tradeswoman’s needs, offering workshops and plenary sessions facilitated by tradeswomen and featuring union leaders, apprenticeship and training coordinators, community and industry partners, and local, state and federal advocates and lawmakers.
